Moms with Daughters in Girl Guides?
Would you volunteer to be a Leader if your daughter wanted to join Girl Guides but the group wouldn’t open unless they had more volunteers? How do you feel about being required to volunteer and assigned a night every month or so?
My daughters are still in Girl Scouts and I volunteered for 7 years. Good organizations have rules about the # of girls vs the # of adults. And no adult in today’s world should conduct a meeting with children alone for the safety of the children and adults. People need to step up. You want your children to participate in great programs and yet you are unwilling to put in some time. It is a great opportunity to get to know your child and their friends outside of your home. Take advantage of it. Learn something new and enjoy yourself and the children. You may surprise yourself!
